ALPHABEAT!

Lots of fantastic news from the Danish pop band sensation Alphabeat!

Once defined by PopJustice as “Madonna meets Shannon with Black Box keyboards and a sped-up 90's Scandipop backbeat”, Alphabeat formed in 2002 but released their first single “Fascination” in 2007. Their second single “10,000 nights” reached an amazing number 2 at the UK single charts.

After playing a COMPLETELY sold-out tour in the UK in 2008 (and more than 160 gig in a year), the band has signed a contract with Polydor. What else, Alphabeat has now been asked by Lady Gaga to join her 2010 tour across the UK & Ireland! Such an exciting step up for the band and definitely a show not to miss out!

Their newest single “the Spell” has been released last month and it’s already proving a big success, with lots of badass mash-ups currently being recorded. Keep checking this space for more updates!

What else, the newest album “the Spell” is due to be released in March 2010. We can’t wait to hear it, sounds very promising. In the meantime, check out this remix of “the Spell” by the Magistrates http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=batch_download&batch_id=Z01QMWZKMGtoeVpFQlE9PQ

Graffiti 6

Graffiti 6 is a collaboration between Jamie Scott and Tommy D. Both successful in their own rights, in early summer 2008 Jamie went to Tommys studio and they soon realised that mixing their sounds and styles together could create something new and exciting they both loved working on.

Jamie has previously toured with Alicia Keys, whilst Tommy has worked with the likes of Kanye West and Michael and Janet Jackson. Their song "Stare in to the Sun" was used by The Sun newspaper in their summer advert, so you may not yet realise that you have heard of Graffiti 6, but with talent and a sound like this, soon everyone will know them.

Check out Graffiti 6 at their Myspace page www.myspace.com/graffiti6.

Hadouken!

Last week we announced that Traffic were lucky enough to be teaming for Hadouken! Fresh off the back of their new release the "M.A.D" E.P Hadouken! are about to bring their music to the people.

The tour is proving popular amongst teamer's, but we still have a few dates left. Kicking off at London's newest night club Matter on the 13th, Hadouken will be bringing their unusual sound and style to a venue near you.

The bands unusual name comes from a special throwing fireball attack from the video game "Street Fighter". Having previously appeared on the same bill as Crystal Castles and Does It Offend You Yeah?, Hadouken! have been described by Drowned In Sound as "Seem(ing) to have more to say, possessing some easy-on-the-ear hip hop phrasing and rapid light beats". Good news for you and good news for us!

If you're interested in teaming at one of the Hadouken! gigs check out the dates and venues they are covering on traffics fan page then email your chosen date and contact details to info@trafficmarketing.co.uk

Thats not all Mumford and Sons have been up to. From November 2nd NME started publishing a weekly chart countdown compiled by the Official Charts Company. The NME Chart will appear across all of the NME platforms reaching an estimated 1.1m people a week!
The Chart will be a top 40 based on both physical and download sales of tracks that feature on the NME Radio play list. Mumford and Sons track “Little Lion Man” went in straight at Number 10, which is great news. A big well done from everyone at Traffic!
